A new SASE Labs initiative this year is the addition of workshops. These are meant to develop technical skills, discuss advances in industry and academia, and grow professionally. We have plans to host workshops on scientific computing, control systems, creating your own portfolio, and more!
In the past, projects have included a smart water bottle and an app to navigate the Gopher Way tunnels. The project is decided by the members while the coordinators provide the resources and support to finish it. Last year, we were able to launch our app despite the fact that none of our members knew JavaScript or React prior to the project.
We hope to connect students passionate about all kinds of disciplines within STEM through this group. Our Discord server provides a friendly environment to ask for advice, find partners for personal projects, or just study together.
